Is window tint legal in Kansas?

Yes—Kansas law allows window tint with 35% visible light transmission (VLT) or lighter on all side and rear windows.

For added comfort without compromising visibility or legality, we offer APEX Ceramic 70% film, which is fully legal for full windshield applications. This ultra-clear ceramic film still provides excellent heat rejection, UV protection, and glare reduction—while maintaining a factory-clear look.

That said, if you're going for a darker, more private look, we can install any shade you prefer. We’ll walk you through all your options and make sure you know what’s compliant and what’s custom.

How long does window tint installation take?
Most tint installations take a minimum of 2 hours, but time can vary depending on the vehicle size, number of windows, and the tint package you choose. More detailed jobs, such as full-vehicle tints or additional services like visor strips or old tint removal, may take longer. We focus on quality over speed to ensure a flawless result every time.

Are moisture bubbles or pockets normal after installation?
Yes—moisture bubbles or a hazy look are completely normal right after tint is applied. These are caused by water trapped between the film and the glass and will evaporate naturally within 3 to 5 days (sometimes a bit longer depending on temperature and humidity). During this curing period, we recommend avoiding rolling down your windows or cleaning the glass.

What kind of warranty comes with the tint?
We offer two levels of warranty coverage to give you peace of mind:

Lifetime Film Warranty (Geoshield): Both our C2 Carbon and APEX Ceramic films come with a lifetime warranty that covers discoloration (such as purple tint), peeling, adhesive failure, cracking, delaminating, oxidation, and corrosion. This warranty is valid for the original owner and is honored by any authorized Geoshield Dealer nationwide.

6-Month Craftsmanship Warranty (CD Detailing): We also back our work with a 6-month installation warranty that covers any workmanship-related issues like film lifting, edge peeling, or trimming defects. If there’s anything you're not happy with, bring it back—we’ll make it right.
